Right click is your friend

Wednesday, March 28th, 2007

We work hard to make radius easy to use. A great feature some of you should try is the wonderful right click. Try right clicking on a friend in your friend list. You’ll see a menu that lets you do pretty much everything like showing them on the map or displaying your logs. Also right click someone in the map window. There are even more cool things there like ‘zoom to location’ which will take you to an approximate location for a local.

Happy right clicking.

Idle and Nicks!

Monday, March 19th, 2007

Some of you may have noticed that a few new treats entered the friend list this week. We’ve been working hard on some of your big requests and now they’ve arrived.

First, you’ll see that an icon shows up now for friends that have gone idle. And on the AIM network you can see how long your friends have been online. The big one, though, is nicknames on MSN. The days of long email addresses in the friend list are over.

Idlewild

We’ve also made some nice login improvements that will make getting on the site much faster.

Hope everyone enjoys the new features.

Pool Table - For Make Benefit Glorious Company of radiusIM

Thursday, March 8th, 2007

Ok, so we got a pool table at the office. But don’t think bubble-era dot com excess, it’s just that I’m having a kid and my wife said the pool table had to go. So what better place than the office? This should make happy hours at the office more fun anyway.  Now let’s see how much work we can get done.

Drop in for a game if you’re in the neighborhood…

Hi, Hola, Olá, Bonjour, Ni Hao…

Friday, March 2nd, 2007

People from over 40 countries visit radius every day. Big contingents log in from the United States, Brazil, Argentina, Spain, the United Kingdom, India, France, China, the Phillipines and so many more. It’s really exciting and rewarding for us to see this and lets us know in a big way that we need to translate the site. We’re going to start a project to get this done and could use a little help. Look for a posting on this effort soon and please give us a hand!

In the meantime, take advantage of the big international community on radius by moving that map around and saying a quick hello to someone from another country. As a quick refresher, you can move the map by clicking and dragging on it. A good way to surf to another country is to first zoom the map out a few levels by clicking the little ‘-’ icon in the map and then dragging it.

Have fun! Ciao….
